CODET's is one of the top ophthalmology hospitals in Latin America and was established in 1986. The Institute has a staff of more than 60 physicians, surgeons, optometrists, anesthesiologists and support staff which treat on average 30,000 patients annually, including more than 3,000 eye procedures.

CODET's surgeons actively participate in the investigation, development, and publication of ophthalmic innovations.

CODET deploys sophisticated diagnostic and surgical equipment, including two excimer lasers, an all-in-one femtosecond laser, two eye exam lanes, three topography units, two optical coherence tomography units (OCT), four cataract surgery systems and two vitroretinal surgery systems. Complex work is performed in one of the Institute's five surgery theaters.

Pricing is a competitive 30-65% less than you would pay in the United States, Canada or Britain. International patient services include complimentary Car to and from San Diego International Airport and Tijuana International Airport. For those wishing to drive to the clinic (CODET's facilities are located a mere 10 miles south of the United States border), CODET provides a free medical pass that allows easy return to the United States.
