Is snoring due to narrowing of the nose or throat or for another reason? In order to understand this, I primarily evaluate all airways (nose, nasal, uvula, tongue root) with endoscopes and cameras in my outpatient clinic. Then, we determine the most appropriate treatment according to the sleep test (PSG) result. We perform multi-level surgery for narrowed areas in the nose or throat in a single session. I perform snoring surgeries with a robotic-like device called coblator. If there is narrowness in the airways, we prevent apnea in many of our patients with surgeries performed with the appropriate technique and they do not snore anymore.
