IVF Spain is a unique service that provides you with your own English fertility nurse specialist with over 22 years experience in IVF who will plan, coordinate and support you throughout the whole of your treatment cycle and beyond. We have carefully selected 3 clinics in Spain, one in Madrid, one in Fuengirola and another in Marbella, both of which are on the Costa del Sol that we feel comfortable working with who offer excellent success rates, competitive prices and who we know have the same ethos as us towards patient care and support. The services that we provide are included in the costs that the clinic would charge you if you went to them direct . Additional procedures such as ICSI are included in the price as standard, but we would need to send you full details so as to be able to give you a complete picture of costs.
We are a family run business who provide a personal tailor made service for each individual perspective patient. We regularly help between 10 and 15 patients each month who come to us from across the globe. Countries include Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, USA, Canada, Germany, Dubai, France, Ireland, China (ex-pats) and of course the UK as well as many others. We are completely convinced that you will not get this service anywhere else with the experience that we can provide.
Your Nurse will be Ruth Pellow who finished her nurses training at the Royal London Hospital in 1992, deciding that she wanted to specialize in the world of fertility from then on. She has also worked at a private clinic in Harley street, spent 9 years as the senior sister at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London and at a clinic on the Costa del Sol in Spain for nearly 6 years. It was the experience in Spain that convinced Ruth and her husband Simon that there was a real need for patients to be able to have a choice of clinics that they could attend whilst having their own personal nurse assisting them along the way. This includes regular phone and email contact, provision of prescriptions for medications needed, a treatment plan specifying what to do, how and when to do it and general support and hand holding seven days a week, 365 days a year.
All of the clinics we collaborate with (we also work with 2 in Greece) offer all forms of IVF treatments except surrogacy as this illegal in Spain and extremely complicated in Greece. PGD (Pre Genetic Diagnosis) is also forbidden for the purposes of sex selection. It is only allowed if there is any medical history of an existing genetic disorder.
Should you be looking at egg or sperm donation, then this is anonymous which means there are little or no waiting times to start treatment. Egg donors are aged typically between 18 and 30 years old with most physical characteristics available. These include height, weight, hair/eye colour, complexion, blood group. What you need to understand is that many clinics in Spain (and other countries) are not allowed to give you this information and many do not until you have had the embryo transfer. Because of the unique way we offer our services, we are able to match your donor well in advance of any treatment cycle. If you can also provide a picture of you and your partner, this will greatly assist the matching process. It's not the same as America where donors have their own websites and profiles, but then you are paying a quarter of the price with the same chance of success!
A typical first contact phone call can last between 30 and 60 minutes. This can be done by landline (we ring you at a pre-arranged time) or Skype should you have this facility (highly recommended)!
If you would like our services but are have already decided to attend a clinic other than one of those that we work with, we would be delighted to provide the same service as we normally would on the basis that the selected clinic is happy for us to do so and that there would be a charge made by IVF Spain for these services.
