1. FUE

(Follicular Unit Extraction)

FUE transplants are relatively unobstructive and are performed under local anaesthetic, so as to reduce complications or the need for long stays. The process is reasonably simple and quick, and undergoing

FUE is a newer technique and unlike other hair transplant procedures, FUE works on an individual hair basis. Each hair is extracted as a whole unit, complete with the necessary glands and then transplanted to the new area.

Using FUE, we expose the follicles to as little in the way of damage as possible, and this gives each transplanted hair the best chance of survival. Because the follicles have been taken from an area of hair unaffected by DHT

the hormone causing male pattern baldness

the new hairs are unaffected and will not be subject to the same patterns of loss.

WHO IS FUE DESIGNED FOR?

FUE is primarily a solution for combating male pattern baldness, which describes a pattern of hair loss that generally affects the temples and crown, leaving men (and sometimes women) with hair around the back and sides of the head but nowhere else. Not everyone is a suitable candidate for FUE treatment, as factors such as the extent of hair loss and hair type (i.e. straight/wavy/afro) can determine the most appropriate transplant method.

Using a tiny one-millimeter in diameter (or less) instrument, the surgeon will remove individual follicular units from the patient’s scalp. The device makes a tiny circular incision around the follicular unit to isolate the graft. The graft is then extracted directly from the scalp using a tweezers-like instrument, and then prepared for placement by your team of skilled technicians. These specially trained technicians isolate, prepare and ensure that the follicular grafts remain in optimal condition. Follicular units are arranged into groups depending on the number of hairs contained within each follicle (1-4 hairs are commonly found within each follicle). The placement of these follicular units is what sets the stage for Dream surgeon’s natural-looking results and artistic difference.

2. ARTAS ROBOT FUE

3. Non-shaven FUE

5. FUSS (Follicular Unit Strip Surgery)

FUSS means Follicular Unit Strip Surgery. With this procedure, we take a strip out of the back of the head, stitch it up, dissect the grafts under the microscope, and plant them as follicular units on the top of the head. This procedure leaves a linear scar on the back of the head. FUSS is traditional method for harvesting hair follicles.
