When medically appropriate, our plastic surgeons take the endoscopic approach to brow lift surgery, which is much less invasive than the traditional “open” approach and often leads to a quicker recovery period. The endoscopic approach involves making several small incisions in the treatment area, through which the surgical instruments are inserted. One of the surgical instruments used in this approach is a long, thin device with a camera on the end of it that transmits a video feed from inside the treatment area onto a screen in the operating room. This allows the surgeon to monitor surgical progress.
